The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

After the prestigious success of the two past films Twilight and Twilight Saga: New Moon, here comes the 3rd part of the story based upon the novel of Stephenie Mayer The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. As we all knew Twilight is a series of four vampire-based fantasy romance novels, it focus the life of teenage girl who moves to Fork, Washington and fall-in-love to a 104 years old vampire and that is Edward Cullen.

As I recall the first series of the book, Bella (seventeen-year-old that time) move to her fathers' place after her mother remarries to a baseball player. She then go to school and meet new friends but things got change when she saw Edward Cullen entering at the canteen. At first glance Bella sense something to Edward which she can’t hardly explained, especially when Edward acted like he is being disgusted to her. Few days later Bella finds her self being star struck to Edwards’s handsome face and was not able to see the rushing van but luckily in just a blink Edward moves to Bella's place and stop the Van by his bare hands. That makes Bella puzzled and starts asking Edward regarding with the incident but get no answer to Edward. Out of curiosity, Bella do some research and eventually find the answer to her question. But knowing that Edward is a vampire won’t change of what she feels for him.

Later after both sides fell-in-love to each other and Bella was introduce to Edwards family, new problems arise in a much unexpected situation. While Cullen’s family is having their favorite games tree nomadic vampire’s arrived and finds out that one of them is human. That starts the battle between the Cullen’s family and one of the three nomadic vampires named James. James as a tracker vampire intrigued by Edwards’s protectiveness to Bella and was given a change to abduct Bella. Again Edward arrives just right on time and was able to save Bella. After that incident the two finds them self on a ball but the story ends on Victoria (also one of the three nomadic vampires), secretly watching the pair dancing (revenge was written all over her face).

One of the most anticipated action-adventure fantasy film written by Jordan Mechner, Boaz Yakin, Doug Miro, and Carlo Bernard is the Prince of Persia: The Sands of time from director Mike Newell and producer by Jerry Bruckheimer. The story of this film is based on the 2003 video game of the same name which is developed and released by Ubisoft Montreal.

It is currently marked as the fourth film under the Walt Disney Pictures banner to receive a PG-13 rating by the MPAA for excessive display of violence and action. Touches from Warrior Within and The Two Thrones are also incorporated despite the film being primarily based on The Sands of Time. Although there are loads of differences in the game than the movie, including the Prince’s name which has been changed to Dastan, and the Princess’ name been changed from Farah to Tamina.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will be released first in Europe, premiers on May 19, 2010 in France, Sweden and the Netherlands and on May 20 in Germany. It is expected to be released on May 21 in the UK and in the US but was postponed to May 28, 2010. At the left side is the official teaser poster for The Runaways film this 2010. Refreshing the past, the said film is based from 1970's American all-girl teenage rock band in the-same name of course. The former rock-band best known for the song "Cheery Bomb" (maybe that’s the reason why the official teaser poster of The Runaways film is a cherry..”kidding”..), Queens of Noise, Rock n' Roll and Born to be Bad are also included. All-in-all this coming film is a 1970s look alike, from the outfit to the hairstyle and maybe the pictorials places were renewed into a look like 1970's.

Synopsis of the film:

The film fallows the story of two best-of-friends, Jett and Currie as they rock the St. of L.A., arising from rebellious street kids into a legendary rock band of the future. Later the group falls upon Svengali-like influence of rock impresario Kim Fowley who probably turns the group into an outrageous success and family misfits. Because of the band one of a kind talent and uniqueness they quickly earn its name by itself together with the two main leaders. Cherie with her Bowie-Bardot looks known as the sex kitten and so as Joan, the bands pure rock n' roll heart.

The film is directed by Florea Sigismondi and distributed by Appariton The Runaways will premiere this weekend at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah and will be aired in limited place this March 19, 2010 but the worldwide schedule will be on April 9, 2010.
