At the left side is the official teaser poster for The Runaways film this 2010. Refreshing the past, the said film is based from 1970's American all-girl teenage rock band in the-same name of course. The former rock-band best known for the song "Cheery Bomb" (maybe that’s the reason why the official teaser poster of The Runaways film is a cherry..”kidding”..), Queens of Noise, Rock n' Roll and Born to be Bad are also included. All-in-all this coming film is a 1970s look alike, from the outfit to the hairstyle and maybe the pictorials places were renewed into a look like 1970's.
Synopsis of the film:
The film fallows the story of two best-of-friends, Jett and Currie as they rock the St. of L.A., arising from rebellious street kids into a legendary rock band of the future. Later the group falls upon Svengali-like influence of rock impresario Kim Fowley who probably turns the group into an outrageous success and family misfits. Because of the band one of a kind talent and uniqueness they quickly earn its name by itself together with the two main leaders. Cherie with her Bowie-Bardot looks known as the sex kitten and so as Joan, the bands pure rock n' roll heart.
The film is directed by Florea Sigismondi and distributed by Appariton The Runaways will premiere this weekend at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah and will be aired in limited place this March 19, 2010 but the worldwide schedule will be on April 9, 2010.
