Glee is a Fox Musical Comedy-drama television series created by Ryan Murphy (Nip/Tuck) that depicts Will Schuester's (Matthew Morrison) efforts to save McKinley High’s Glee Club from cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch). Glee’s musical numbers underdog characters and rousing soundtracks have all helped make Glee a runaway pop-culture hit.
Glee was originally aired last May 19, 2009 in the United States. The season consists of 22 episodes. The pilot episode was broadcast as an advanced preview on May 19, 2009, followed by a further 12 episodes from September 9, 2009 to December 9, 2009. The season will resume for a further nine episodes on April 13, 2010.
